Yoga Workout Playlist No. 4 (Spotify Playlist)

Yoga Workout Playlist No. 4 (Spotify Playlist)

It’s the end of July, and I’m dying for a power yoga or vinyasa class. A month at Fort Knox for training with ZERO stretching and a week in bed with tonsillitis has killed my flexibility.

Guess who’s starting from zero again in August when school starts? Ugghhhhh. I’m banking on the fact that making a yoga playlist usually sparks my desire to practice at home. I’ll let ya’ know how it goes. 🙂

Follow me on Spotify if you like a mix of indie, alternative, EDM, pop, and country.

Question:

  1. Has anyone else fallen off the yoga wagon? If so, how long did it take you to reach your previous level of flexibility?
  2. Do you go to yoga as much for the atmosphere as for a good stretch?

Does running make anyone else crave yoga?
Maybe I’m crazy, but all I can think about besides literally drinking a gallon of water after a long run is dropping into pigeon or triangle pose.
Tight hip flexors from running = yoga ASAP.

I go to power yoga in the evenings twice per week, but I often take 10 to 15 minutes to practice on my own before I go to bed. I put this playlist on, stretch it out and I’m out like a light bulb. Try it if you have issues winding down after a long day. It might be just what you need. 🙂

P.S. Check out my Spotify profile and my playlists page if you like what you hear. I pay $5 per month as a student to have access to a bazillion songs with zero ads. I have the ability to follow and make as many playlists as my heart desires. It’s TOTALLY worth the money. Ask for a Spotify Gift Card $30 (affiliate link!) for your b-day or a holiday. 🙂

Questions:

  1. What are your favorite stretches for pre- or post-run? (My favorite pre-run stretch is the toy soldier.)
  2. What are your favorite yoga poses? (I’m a fan of crazy arm balances in addition to stretches.)

Yoga Workout Playlist

I love EDM, pop and rock for cardio and strength training, but that music doesn’t exactly work when I’m trying to focus on my form and breath in yoga.

I created a playlist of my current favorite “zen”songs specifically for yoga workouts. The 30-song playlist includes a good mix of slow and upbeat songs.

You’ll find a graphic below for the playlist. Feel free to pin, save or print the list if you need relaxing music for your practice too.

P.S. If you know me well, you know I had to include a minimum of two John Mayer songs.  🙂

Below you’ll find the spotify playlist for fans of free streaming. You can find additional playlists like this one if you follow me (Brianna Kolota) on Spotify.

Let me know what you think of the playlist if you give it a listen. I’d love to know what you think!

Questions:

  1. Do you practice yoga? If so, what type? How often?
  2. What are some of your favorite relaxing, “zen”songs?

Drop the Beat Playlist

Drop the Beat Playlist

Who else feels insanely motivated to work out if you hear a song that drops the beat?

Seriously. My eyelids could be slowly closing on the brink of a nap, but as soon as I hear a song with an insane beat drop, I’m ready to rock ‘n’ roll. The laces are tied and the ear buds are in within a matter of minutes.

I’ve completed great workouts without music, but I always seem to push myself harder if I’m armed with a killer playlist. I know a lot of you probably feel the same way, which is why I thought I’d share this high-intensity, beat-dropping playlist with you today.

If this playlist doesn’t pump you up, I don’t know what will. Listen to it while you’re working out or if you just need something to help you power through the work or school day.
